Yang Weilan
Founder & Chairwoman, Hanhoo Capital

Ms. Yang Weilan is the Founder and Chairwoman of Hanhoo Capital. She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Accounting from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, and an EMBA from both Sun Yat-sen University and Columbia University. She is a Chinese Certified Public Accountant (CICPA), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). In 2005, she was recognized as one of China’s Top 10 Outstanding Chief Financial Officers. She also serves as a guest professor at the School of Management, Sun Yat-sen University.

Ms. Yang has over two decades of leadership experience across both public enterprises and multinational corporations. She spent six years overseeing capital operations in the defense industry as Vice President of Guangzhou Haige Communications Group Co., Ltd., a publicly listed military technology company. She was responsible for finance, investment, securities, and asset management. During her tenure, she led over 30 M&A projects, initiated Guangzhou’s first employee stock ownership plan in 2014, directed a major asset restructuring in 2016, facilitated subsidiary listings and financing on the NEEQ, issued corporate bonds, and established a defense-focused M&A fund. These efforts significantly contributed to Haige’s market capitalization growth from RMB 5 billion to RMB 50 billion.

Earlier in her career, she served as Finance Director and Business Development Director at Baxter China, where she led capital strategy and integration efforts across the Chinese healthcare market.

Ms. Yang also brings 12 years of financial leadership experience in multinational companies, having held key positions such as Assistant and Internal Control Manager at Duracell China, Finance Manager at Kraft Foods (Guangtong), Greater China Finance Director at H.B. Fuller, Finance Director at Heinz Infant Nutrition China, and Finance Director at Bostik China (a subsidiary of the Total Group).
